Noctuoid moths (except Arctiinae)


This moth sub-category for the superfamily Noctuoidea contains the large families Noctuidae and Erebidae as well the smaller Euteliidae, Nolidae, Notodontidae and Oenosandridae.  The Arctiinae also belong to this superfamily, but are distinctive and well known so are given their own moth sub-category

@donhe I do not believe it is Dura marginepunctata (antennae too long) or that it is Lymantriidae.

With only dorsal views, it may have reduced prolegs. It could be Geometridae. @dwise : can you take a photo showing al lateral view please ?

Looks strangely 'familiar'. CHrysonoma (genus)? Looks similar to C. fascialis, C. menodora and C. sp. ANIC 17 and C. sp. ANIC 56, but none seem to match precisely enough. See
